I'm bothered by this.
She's bolting the Governership to work in private industry, I guess.
When these people run for office and request our votes, can't we at least expect that they'll serve the full term? It's not like she's sick, or dealing with some personal crisis, or not really able to serve out her term. She's just giving it up.
How can that not be perceived as putting her own personal interests before those of the people who elected her?
There have been rumors that Jim Doyle is going to leave his term early to take the leadership job in the Peace Corps.
If that were to happen, the same criticism would apply.
